Mr Smith Goes to Washington
From Sauk Prairie to the Capital! (Note, this is not a loop). This 29-mile loop has a good mix of hills (gradual and sharp) and flat spinning runs. The trail on either side of Springfield hill is in great condition - fun to bike. The back roads (especially CR V/Brereton/Lodi-Springfield) provide a good mix of hills to balance the nice and easy ride on the trail. Once you get down to Madison, take a victory lap around the Capital and grab some cheese curds at the old fashioned or a micro-brew at Vintage on University! - a 29.4 mi cycling route in Sauk City, Wisconsin
